CPS supplement Jul 2024

I have a few questions regarding the use of supplement weights for the July 2024 CPS Supplement.
My first question is: how should the PWSUPWGT be used for point estimates? Does it need to be combined with any other weight file?

I am using the supplement weight PWSUPWGT instead of the standard PWCMPWGT, but I am not getting accurate point estimates. I am using R to read the CPS file and to estimate variables.

IPUMS CPS has not yet integrated the July 2024 Disability Supplement into our system. For earlier iterations of the supplement, IPUMS CPS harmonized the Census Bureau’s supplement person weight PWSUPWGT into the variable DISUPPWT. This weight takes into account the fact that the disability supplement is only fielded to CPS respondents age 15+. Therefore, at most the weight will sum to the size of the US non-institutionalized population age 15+. Since IPUMS CPS has not yet released this sample, I’m unable to confirm whether this is the case with the newest sample. If you can share some more information about your issue (e.g., what variables you are tabulating, what your counts are), I can try to share some more thoughts on what may be happening.
