On running summary tables for fertility variables (Benin 2013 data), I get FCEB == FS (Number of female children ever born is exactly the same as female children surviving). Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks for pointing this out. This is an error on our end–the harmonized variable CHSURVF is currently reporting the number of female children born alive instead of those surviving. The IPUMS International team will plan to correct this error; in the meantime you can instead use the unharmonized source variable BJ2013A_CHSURVF to capture the correct data for female children surviving.
