Availability of some samples?

Hi,

I recently picked back up a large-scale time use project involving countries with multiple diary respondents. In the samples table (https://www.mtusdata.org/mtus/samples.shtml), I noticed that the UK 2014, Spain 2009, and the Basque Country 2002 and 2008 samples are listed.

However, when I try to revise my sample selections in the extract builder, none of those options appear. I was wondering if you knew why that might be.

Thanks for your question and apologies for the confusion. We have removed these samples based on conversations with collaborators who prepare these files so they could review potential data quality issues. I have shared the variable(s) that triggered the decision to temporarily remove the samples below for your reference.

  • Basque Country 2002: EDUCA

  • Basque Country 2008: EMPSTAT, EDUCA

  • UK 2014: REGION, MIGRANTD

  • Spain 2009: MAIN and SEC (specifically those coded as 6: Meals or snacks in other places)

Note that we are working on reprocessing the UK2014 data and hope to release them in the next few weeks.
