Access to county of residence?

Hi,

I would like to do county level data analysis using NHIS. It seems like NHIS collects information about state and county of residence but the variables are not publicly available. How can I request for geocoded recent NHIS data?

Detailed geographic identifiers are not available in the public use NHIS data, which are the input for IPUMS NHIS. Restricted use versions are available to approved researchers via the Research Data Center (RDC) Network. I am linking to more information on restricted use geocoded NHIS data as well as an IPUMS NHIS user note on using IPUMS and restricted use versions of the NHIS data together.
