When are you planning to show 2020 census round data in IPUMS International?
IPUMS-I releases new census data as they make sharing arrangements with the national statistical offices of the various partner countries that contribute the data. The team is always interested in building new partnerships to offer data to researchers. When these arrangements are made depends on many factors, including how long it takes for partner countries to process their microdata. Also, it takes at least a year for IPUMS-I to integrate new census samples after they are received from partner countries. Currently the latest census data available in IPUMS-I is from 2017 (Chile and Palestine). The Palestine data were added to IPUMS-I in 2020, and the Chile data in 2022. At this point, I don’t have a timeline for the release of 2020 round census data.
