# When will the Contingent Worker supplement data be added to IPUMS CPS?

Do you have a timeline for releasing the CWS 2017 and previous supplements (1995 & 2005)? Thanks!

Unfortunately, at this time we do not have a timeline for releasing the Contingent Worker Supplement Data. However, our CPS Team is aware that there is interest in use of the data. I would recommend that you check [here](https://cps.ipums.org/cps-action/revisions) periodically and if you have not seen anything related to the CWS in early 2019, feel free to reach out to us again and we will see if there are any updates.

Hello @Michelle_Pratt - I saw that the Contingent Worker Supplements were added last month for 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, and 2005. Do you know when the 2017 data will be released?

There is no firm date for release of the 2017 data, but the IPUMS CPS team is working on it now. In the meantime the supplement is available from NBER at their [CPS supplements page](https://www.nber.org/data/current-population-survey-data.html). It is included in the May 2017 data. You can merge the NBER file with IPUMS CPS data using the steps described in [this blog post](http://blog.popdata.org/mergecpsfile/).
