# The 2012 ACS 1-year estimates has been released. What would be the estimated released date of the new IPUMS? Thx!

The 2012 ACS 1-year estimates has been released. What would be the estimated released date of the new IPUMS? Thx!

The Census Bureau releases ACS data in two ways. The first is as a set of summary tables that represents every ACS respondent and the second is in the form of PUMS which include complete data on a sample of respondents (removing identifying information). The Census Bureau released the 1-Year summary file on September 19th and they plan to release the PUMS file on December 17th. IPUMS-USA is planning on having the IPUMS files released within a month of the Census Bureau’s release.
