Does the online tool apply the replication weights to calculate SE and CV estimates? In general, I’m curious how the online tool handles replication weights, if at all, and cannot find explicit detail within the documentation. Thank you in advanced!

It is not possible to use replicate weights with IPUMS USA data in the [online data analysis tool (SDA)](https://usa.ipums.org/usa/sda/). Analyses using the SDA can be performed with [PERWT](https://usa.ipums.org/usa-action/variables/PERWT#description_section) (a person-level weight) or [HHWT](https://usa.ipums.org/usa-action/variables/HHWT#description_section) (a household-level weight). Once you have selected a sample in the SDA, you will be able to choose a weight from the weight dropdown menu. If you want to use replicate weights to calculate standard errors, you will need to request a custom microdata extract and analyze the data in a statistical package, such as R, SAS, or Stata. Here is more [documentation about replicate weights](https://usa.ipums.org/usa/repwt.shtml).
