I was unable to replicate this issue in STATA. Please see [here](https://usa.ipums.org/usa/repwt.shtml) for detailed instructions on using replicate weights in SAS and STATA. If you continue to experience trouble, please provide additional details on the statistical software you are using, the relevant IPUMS sample(s), and the line of code causing the error.
