I am trying to extract linked records from the 1850 and 1860 full count census files. The IPUMS web site says: “Invoking the “link census data” option on the sample selection screen constrains your choice of censuses to the full-count datasets. Any other datasets in your data cart will be dropped and cannot subsequently be added.”. I don’t see this option on he sample selection screen. Is the web site incorrect or am I doing something wrong? Thx.

The linked extract functionality was inadvertently suppressed earlier this week. We have re-enabled the feature; you should now be able to request linked, full count, historical data via IPUMS USA. My apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for bringing this to our attention.
