For example, if I want to see the time spent participating for each of the 20 or more sports activities is there a way just to click on each to select to download or do I have to build individual new time use variables to get this data. It seems like a real pain to have to build variables since the data should be there already.

Most time use variables are user-defined combinations of given activities recorded via diaries by the BLS. IPUMS Time Use does have some pre-made TUVs [here](https://www.atusdata.org/atus-action/time_use_variables/group/2), [here](https://www.atusdata.org/atus-action/time_use_variables/group/3), and [here](https://www.atusdata.org/atus-action/time_use_variables/group/5). Outside of these variables, you’ll need to create your own variables for time spent during specific activities.
