Egypt census information on the IPUMS International . Need the formula used to calculate the weights.
To create the weights for the 1996 Egypt sample, we divided the official population for a village by the total IPUMS-I sample for that village. The resulting factor was then used as the weight value for each household/person in that village. In addition, to account for missing villages, we also multiplied village level weights by relevant district- and/or governorate-level factors. For confidentiality reasons, village is not an available geography in the IPUMS-I data.
