# Hi, did you ever figured out how to match historical IPUMS MCD codes to subdivision shapefiles? Thanks

We are still working on a clean version of MCD strings for the historical IPUMS microdata. Once those are available, we can match them to MCD points that we have created for NHGIS. Thus, at this time, we have not figured out how to match the MCD codes to the shapefiles.
