# "EDUCD" not showing up on website in "BROWSE AND SELECT DATA." Is it still available?

I have a data set I downloaded a year or so ago and I use the educd variable. I was going back to the website to just type up some documentation and needed to look at the educd codes, but it doesn’t show up in a search of education variables now, only “educ” appears.

Is this a bug or has educd been removed?

The EDUCD variable has not disappeared. These “detailed” variables come as a package-deal with the “general” variables. Therefore, if you go to the codes tab of the [EDUC](https://usa.ipums.org/usa-action/variables/EDUC#codes_section) variable description and click the “detailed codes” radio button above the table, you will see the detailed codes for the given selected samples.
