# Could not find the CPS variables in the variable search tool.

Hello, I could not find the CPS HEFAMINC or PERRP in the IPUM variable seaarch tool. Have they been re-coded? Relabeled?

HEFAMINC looks similar to [FTOTVAL](https://cps.ipums.org/cps-action/variables/FTOTVAL#description_section) which identifies the total family income. PERRP looks similar to [RELATE](https://cps.ipums.org/cps-action/variables/RELATE#codes_section) which identifies the relationship to the household head.
