# About INCSS: CPS-ASEC survey

hello,

I would like to clarify one thing. In the CPS-ASEC, we have incss variable. This is yearly, quarterly, or monthly?

INCSS reports the yearly amount. You can see the exact question that was asked each year on the [questionnaire text page for the variable](https://cps.ipums.org/cps-action/variables/incss#questionnaire_text_section). Generally all ASEC income variables refer to yearly income.
